About Us
We love the game of football. And after years of being fans, we are still amazed at how much more there is to learn and all the layers of the game. When we started playing fantasy football, it became clear to us that a whole aspect of football was missing. That is when we came up with the idea to create a league focused 100% on the ‘other’ plays and players, and their contribution to the game. For years, we have all heard about the game being won and lost in the trenches and we wanted to be able to see that come to life in a fantasy game concept. We deliberately left out QBs, RBs, WRs and glamour TDs because they already get enough pub. We wanted to focus on the trenches and the stats that put the big name players in position to score. In addition, we wanted to create a game that does not only address the stats that matter but the way these guys play - as teams and not individuals.
All of this led us to the game as we have it today. Throughout developing the idea, we got great helpful feedback and we are eager to continue incorporating it in order to improve the game. We plan to listen to what the players of our game like and don’t like, make the appropriate adjustments and improvements in order to roll out an even better experience next season. At the same time, we are being smart about the business we build and are patenting the work we’ve done as it is the first of its kind in the fantasy sports category.
Quite a few people have helped us get to this point—our investor and kickoff season marketing partner, Elite Power Inc, has been of huge help (I feel like a Nascar driver thanking his sponsor but this was instrumental to us existing). We also need to acknowledge the dining-room table team of Walder, Hudder and Hill (all high school buddies though Hill was the only football hero of our crowd) who helped keep things focused, or at times, not very focused. Greg, Colin, Matt and Chris were also a great help in the early days of vetting the concept of this game from whiteboard to banner concepts.
And I (this is Eric here) want to acknowledge Steve Sandoz and Nick Simmons for an ever-present inspiration to take chances, as well as my good friend and business partner Paul who was instrumental in helping make this all happen, it would not have happened without him. Thanks to all the smart companies we worked with to get this launched in a very compressed schedule. Lastly, we want to very much thank our wives, Tanya and Suzanne, for letting a fantasy football game idea become a real business venture to pursue.
